Social enrichment for retired physician with new-onset memory challenges
Posted by Tiffany S. on 8/3/2025

- $35.00 per hour

We're looking for someone to come on an occasional basis, starting few hours once or twice per week to help enrich the social life for a lovely 78 year old woman. She is married with local kids and thus has lots of support but would benefit from having someone to take her on some extra outings to museums, etc. She has new onset short-term memory loss and word-finding challenged, which has made it more difficult for her to have in depth conversations and has limited her social sphere and independence with driving. We have yet to socialize the idea of a companion with her but with the right person we think it will work well. Job duties will include driving around San Francisco, ensuring her safety, coming up with new fun activities, conversing in English. Candidate with exceptional social skills and prior experience with elder care are encouraged to apply.
Care Recipient
- Female
- Somewhat receptive to outside help
- Age range: 75 to 84 years old
