My mother in law was in the hospital for a few days with gallbladder problems. She also has liver cancer and is slowly getting weaker, but can still walk around on her own..
She is in a rehab facility after the hospital stay, but would like to come home. Her son lives with her, but has a day job. She needs help with a few things during the day. First, she has a drain that removes bile from her gallbladder that needs flushed twice daily. Her son can handle this in the evening. Assistant would need to handle this mid-day. Hopefully the drain can be removed in a couple of weeks. She also needs assistance taking a shower, and would therefore need a female assistant. The third thing is she needs help preparing a healthy lunch, so that she eats decently and maintains her strength for as long as possible. Her hearing is poor, assistant must speak English clearly enough that she can understand. Probably about 2 hours/day.
