My 96‑year‑old father needs companion‑level support to help maintain safety, comfort, and his daily routine at home. He is generally independent, enjoys conversation, and benefits from gentle reminders and a calm, steady presence. Key needs include supervision for safe mobility and fall prevention; light household help such as meal prep; social engagement through conversation, reading, or activities; accompaniment on simple errands; and observation of any changes in mood, behavior, appetite, or mobility. Our goal is to support him so he can remain comfortable, safe, and independent. We live nearby, but busy schedules make consistent coverage challenging. He is very hard of hearing, uses a walker reluctantly, and is a sharp, engaging conversationalist.
