Mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's/STML and has lived with my husband and me for 6+ years. Occasionally we need someone to sit with her in the evenings and overnight for work or travel. She relies completely on her caregiver for all life skills tasks including bathroom visits (she is incontinent and wears depends type undergarments) bathing, dressing, brushing teeth and hair, food preparation, daily medications. She is a retired home health nurse who has a very sweet nature and loves to watch and listen to worship music. She naps or sleeps for extended periods of time.
We have pets in the home. For overnight stays, we can make arrangements to board them if necessary.
We don't consume fast food very often, so our expectation is that our caregivers are able to cook and prepare meals for her when staying overnight. We also expect that our home will be kept clean (meaning, if spills or accidents occur, they are cleaned up, if sheets get wet, they need to be removed and laundered).
