My father is turning 93 next month and he lives on his own about 20 minutes from my family and he just needs more support and company then I can provide. His wife passed away in September last year and he will eventually (within 6 months) need to move out of the house to an assisted living facility. He is lonely and could use some company, someone he can talk too and some help around the house. Given he won't need much medical attention, we could use help on occasion with rides to the VA (30 minutes) but my brother and I usually take him. What he really needs help with is cleaning and organizing and getting rid of things so that we can sell the house in 6 months. Would also ask for help with dishes, general cleaning and just making sure he's eating - we provide a lot of food but he ends up eating protein bars all the time because he doesn't want to cook or heat things up.
