Sat/Sun ~8am-2pm
~Looking for someone who is kind, patient, and compassionate.
~Patient walks with walker but needs assistance standing, sitting, and walking; has slow gait, balance issues, and is a fall risk so needs someone to walk alongside him to prevent fall.
~He is kind and not prone to anger or outbursts but may occasionally get upset or frustrated. He will tell you if he likes or doesn't like something. Lives with wife and daughter's family.
Duties include:
1. Help wake up, get out of bed, use bathroom or urinal, occasionally may need to change adult diapers.
2. Occasionally make tea & toast for breakfast; ensure patient takes medications (needs assistance with administering pills). Do dishes.
3. Shower: help removing clothes, getting into shower, bathing & drying off, putting lotion and fresh clothes/underwear
4. Encouraging exercise (as tolerated; PT exercises and walking)
5. Flashcards and conversation to stimulate the mind.
