Posted by Lillian Leigh F. on 9/3/2025

- $25.00 per hour

My sweet stepfather is in the early-mid stages of Parkinson's/Dementia. We can no longer leave him alone for safety reasons.
My mom (75) is with him 24/7 currently providing care but it is overwhelming her. So, we are looking for some additional help a few times a week. Someone knowledgable and comfortable with Parkinson's Disease progression / Dementia symptoms and who is patient, kind and strong would be great. Someone who could:
- Drive him when needed to PT or for an outing like a walk
- Take him for a walk at Bass Lake
- Occasionally drive to PT (the schedule is irregular)
- Provide companionship so spouse can run errands/leave house for breaks.
Bonus help that would be amazing would be:
- Help cleaning up after a fall or mess
- Basic grooming - he can dress himself but needs reminding to brush hair etc.
- Help with laundry when accidents happen
- Help with meal prep as needed
Care Recipient
- Male
- Very receptive to outside help
- Age range: 75 to 84 years old
