My father (nearly 70) is a friendly man who has had a relatively-fast progression to a state of semi-dementia. He comes across as cognitively-intact, but without frank instruction and hand-holding, he cannot accomplish basic tasks and has no motivation.

He is currently in a pleasant residence (across from Central Park!) with his own apartment. I am a busy doctor in another borough and find it difficult to motivate him myself.

Responsibilities
- Providing company and mental stimulation (he loves company & is very smart)
- Activities could include listening to music, helping him play his keyboard, walks, watching TV, reading aloud.
- Next steps: grooming (getting him to shower, helping with nails, bringing to haircut) are where i need the most help. He does not do anything himself (may need physical guidance and rewards).
- If successful, we could consider doctors visits, social visits etc.
Schedule - very flexible!! Mon-Sun, 1-3 hrs / week
Pay & frequency & role negotiable.
