Part-time Care Needed for My Elderly Dad in My Home
Posted by Susan W. on 6/24/2022
My 83 yr. old, sweet Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s dementia 11 yrs. ago and has been living here in my home for 8+ yrs. He still feeds himself and is able to use the toilet w/o help. His main issues are short-term memory loss, (repeats himself frequently) & he is a falling risk. His bedroom is upstairs, he still goes up & down, albeit slowly. • He needs meds 2X/day, once at breakfast & then after dinner. They are separated and organized by me each week. • First Aid and CPR training a major plus, as well as some experience with senior care. • I am sole caregiver, & desperately need some breaks a few times a week, & time to attend to chores and, or go out in the evening to have some “me” time. I also share my home with four cats, so you will need to at least like cats and not be allergic. Also, must be laid back about a home that isn’t in perfect order. I aspire to be a Marie Kondo— organized and a type A, but not there yet. If interested, please reach out. Thank you!
