You will be a friend and companion to my mother, Ruth. She has suffered from mental issues her entire life, so at times, she will try your patience to the bone, but when she is doing well, she's wonderful, and you will love her. If you have a heart, she will break it, and you'll need a heart to do this job well.
She's extremely independent and picky about everything that she eats and drinks. She can be paranoid about everything (wifi, bluetooth, random electronic devices spying on her, etc).
I need you to visit her on a schedule and just make sure she is eating and taking care of herself, and if not, call me.
When you visit, just be her friend. You must be a good listener. She will talk for hours without taking a breath, and she needs someone to listen to her. She loves to play scrabble and go to garage sales. She loves animals. Little things like that will make her happy, less crazy, and she'll eat and sleep better, and she'll be at her best, and she's lovable when she's at her best. If you have heart, you will love her.
You won't need to do much "work." She can care for herself when when she's getting enough sleep and eating enough. Just notice if she's starting to go down hill and let me know.

I need someone to visit her everyday and spend at least an hour with her. I will probably find several people to cover all the days, so just let me know the days you can do. Afternoons or evenings are best because she doesn't sleep regularly and may get up very late.

Ultimately she must like you, but if you are kind, gentle, and always have a kind tone of voice that never reflects any frustration you might be feeling, she will love you. She is extremely sensitive to being controlled and any tone of voice that suggests any intent to control her.

If you're an angel that can't imagine hurting a fly, she'll love you.
