My grandmother has always been independent but is no longer physically able to care for herself. She's on oxygen 24/7, walks with a walker, needs assistance getting in and out of the bath, and due to dementia we don't trust her to take her meds properly or cook. She's on disability and social security so she is on a budget. She may also need transportation to her doctors appointments if a reliable family member can't be found.
