Companionship with possible light movement assistance
Posted by Matthew C. on 7/16/2025

- $25.00 per hour

Father-in-law who lives with my wife and I has Parkinson's and peripheral neuropathy in both feet. Currently still dresses and showers himself, and handles his own bathroom visits. He's asking for companionship to help keep his mental faculties engaged, the fog from Parkinson's has advanced and he feels like everything is in slow motion.
Hours per day is flexible, and may shift depending on my wife's and my work and out of town schedules. We are hoping for weekday (occasional weekend) help with perhaps snacks, lunch or dinner (if we're out of town), and short walks outside or to potty our 2 dogs. Must be CPR & First Aid certified and have experience with fall prevention. Preference for familiarity with Parkinson's. He is a devout Christian, please read between the lines. Loves traditional church music, Gaither Brothers, playing dominoes, and old western movies.
Care Recipient
