About who needs care: My mom has dementia. She is currently working with a naturopathic doctor implementing a brain development program called the Bredensen protocol. It is a strict diet, high grade supplements, exercise and activity as well as brain stimulating activites.
She needs help with day to day activities, having her meals prepped for her, assistance using the bathroom, bathing, changing. She needs motivation and assistance to do the exercise and to stay active rather than sitting doing nothing.
She loves spending time with family and friends, but doesn't do it much now since she's having some language and cognitive limits. She was a big reader but isn't currently.
Her ideal day WILL be with brain stimulating activities, exercise and maintaining the proper diet to try to improve her cognitive function.

About the care needs: Someone with patience and understanding who has a big heart and is happy to help care for someone with physical and cognitive limits. They should be able to guide my mom through exercise, be present and actively engaging her throughout out the day, treating her with love and care and respect.

Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
