I’m seeking a friendly, nurturing care companion for my sweet 86-year-old mother Evelyn in home hospice during my daytime working hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm), starting one day/week. Evelyn is bedridden and requires help with eating and self-care. She has a foley catheter and wears a disposable brief that would require occasional changing. Although Evelyn is unable to fully speak, she can sometimes intelligibly whisper or mouth words. During waking hours she is alert and responsive (does not have dementia). She communicates through facial expressions and gestures. She has a gentle, kind disposition and freely conveys her appreciation. I would be nearby to provide hands-on support and answer questions throughout the day as needed.
