We are seeking a warm, reliable, and organized individual to make a meaningful difference in our home. We are a Durham family with two girls (2.5 and 5) and are expecting our third child in May. We are looking for a long-term (2 years or more) household/childcare assistant to become a valued part of our family’s routine. Our needs may change over time. For instance, this fall we may need help with school transportation, which could lead to extended hours.

Key responsibilities include:

Morning Routine Support (for our 2 and 5-year-old girls):
Preparing breakfast
Assisting with dressing and grooming
Helping with bathroom routines
Ensuring a calm and positive start to their day before school

Household Support:
Tidying and resetting common areas (e.g., living room, kitchen, toy areas)
Folding and putting away laundry
Light to moderate meal prep, such as baking muffins, cutting up fruit and vegetables, preparing items for the freezer, etc.

Schedule:
Weekday mornings, approximately 3 hours/day, 5 days/week. This will be a new situation for us, so we are not yet sure the extent of help we'll need. Specific hours and days can be flexible and discussed to best fit your availability.

Start Date: Flexible, although our aim is late March - April.

Requirements:
- Previous experience with young children preferred
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Verifiable references from previous childcare or household positions
- No smoking or drug use
- CPR certification or willing to obtain
- Current Covid, Flu, and TDaP vaccines
