A queer couple is moving to West LA from the east coast this month and needs to find a new full-time, long-term nanny! The position will begin as soon as the right person is found, ideally by the end of May.

The parents have a developed approach to parenting and they would like a nanny who is open to following their lead with their style, based on patience, empathy, and consistency, avoiding power struggles and punishments and their goal is to raise emotionally healthy, resilient, curious kids.
One parent works as a nurse practitioner, the other as a writer from home, but will be on parental leave until Dec.
This family of 4 (including a 5-yo girl and 2-yo boy) is about to grow to a family of 5, expecting a baby girl in July! They have one anxious but loving dog.

The guaranteed schedule will be M-F 9am-5pm (flexibility to come earlier or stay later for extra hours would be helpful.) The pay being offered for this position is $35-$40 per hour. Standard paid time off will be provided.
Requirements are 5 years of recent professional (starting at age 18) nanny experience w/infants and toddlers, native Spanish/fluent in English, CPR/FA cert., clean criminal background/clean driving record with a safe, reliable vehicle, flu shot, current tdap and covid vaccine. LGBTQIA+ friendly, familiar with LA and authorized to work in the US.
They are looking for someone positive and happy, willing to learn and partner w/ them.
Duties are only related to the children. Occasional travel.
