We are looking for a part-time nanny for our nine-year-old child, who we are transitioning to home-school. Our child struggles with the pace and format of school, and is much happier when allowed to focus on interests and work at her level. Our home includes a dog and rabbit, both of whom are quiet and friendly.
The position will include some light tutoring and reading help, and possibly some travel to therapy appointments or activities. We want some physical activity (walking the dog, playing soccer, etc.) and self-care practice (making lunch, etc.). We want most of the day to be relaxed play and interest-led activities and projects.
We have a single-family home in Lemont. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 - 4:15 during the school year. We would like to start with a few days over summer in July. We can also discuss the possibility of a partial third day a week (Thursday or Friday).
