We’re a warm, busy two-parent household in Boerum Hill (near downtown Brooklyn) looking for a wonderful, imaginative, energetic nanny/family assistant to become part of our weekly rhythm. Our six-year-old son is curious, funny, outgoing, and happiest inside a good imaginative game. The right person will genuinely enjoy meeting him there.
The role combines family assistant responsibilities with hands-on childcare. From 1:00–2:30 PM, the focus will be on family assistant duties, including household organization, errands, meal preparation, and general household support. From 2:30 PM onward, the focus shifts to caring for the child, including school pick-up, activities, homework support, and engaging playtime.
Both of our previous nannies/household managers left us after a time for full-time roles in their chosen fields, one at a major foundation, and we count that as a point of pride. People grow in this house, and we like it that way.
