A family of 4 living in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. This is a live-out position, but the family would consider a live-in candidate (the working hours may be extended). The working schedule would be Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm. A candidate with a degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred (or similar qualifications) and they should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working with young children.
The duties will include everything related to childcare including, but not limited to, preparing healthy meals for the children, ensuring their bedrooms and playroom are clean and organized, and handling their laundry. The family have a full-time housekeeper for all other areas. It would also be a bonus if the nanny could help with prepping dinner for the whole family a few nights each week and be proactive in helping to receive packages delivered to the home, helping to unload groceries, etc.
The family sometimes travel for up to a month at a time and they would like the nanny to travel with them for a minimum of two weeks, once per year, during this time. The dates would be discussed in advance. They should be able to engage with the children and help them to meet the appropriate educational milestones whilst expanding their minds and social lives and setting appropriate boundaries. The family would ideally like someone who is willing to stay and grow with the children.
