A family on the Upper East Side of NYC are seeking a part-time to full-time second nanny for their 2 children, to start as soon as possible. The schedule will be Monday-Thursday, 2:15pm-7:45pm (22 hours) and Friday 8am-7pm (11 hours), for a total of 33 hours per week. The family is also open to Monday through Friday from 12pm-8pm (4o hours) with additional non-child related duties required such as meal planning and prep, grocery shopping, and some household organization.
Duties include picking up 4-year-old from school (via public transit or walking- school is within walking distance from home), taking him to activities, playground and play-dates, giving both kids dinner, bathing and bedtime for both children, cleaning up the kitchen, laundry, tidying the children’s play areas, and general full-charge care. Their ideal candidate is a team-player who is passionate about childcare and child development, is active and engaging, and likes to keep a tidy home.
The family practices intentional/respectful parenting and would like someone who can thoughtfully set boundaries, be a sturdy leader, provide structure, and effortlessly put them at ease. The family spends time in Bellport during the Summer and willingness to travel or stay overnight is not required but would be a huge plus. The family is offering $30 to $35 per hour, an unlimited metro card, PTO, 9 paid holidays, and a $100 monthly medical stipend.
