Duties include supporting growth and development, actively engaging the child in age-appropriate play and activities, supporting the child’s daily routine, tending to all tasks related to the child and walking the child to the neighborhood daycare each day. Once the child is dropped off at daycare midday, the nanny will have an hour to complete any unfinished household related tasks. Candidates who are reliable, flexible, and proactive would be a great match for this role. Candidates must be available to provide full-day care should the child be sick or daycare be closed and to occasionally provide afternoon back-up coverage should both parents have a work conflict.
