Hello there! My name is Amie. I am a 46 year old Mom of two grown adults and the super proud Mimi of my two little grandchildren! I am originally from Texas where I grew up working from the age of twelve in my family’s small Mom and Pop convenient stores. After nearly thirty years, we closed them down and I started over in Tennessee ( to be near by first grandchild! ). Three years ago, through mutual friends, I met and am in a committed relationship with a sweet, wonderful man., who has worked in his trade for NASA for the last eighteen years. I moved here in Huntsville in March of 2017. We are members of Whitesburg Baptist Church. Having had nieces and nephews around me since my teens, and then having my own children, followed by being blessed to take care of my granddaughter daily from the Read more time she was sixteen months old while my daughter and son in law worked, I knew I enjoyed working with children and helping them grow and attain each milestone. I applied for a position at Marshall Child Development Center for NASA at Redstone Arsenal in August 2017 and have happily been employed there ever since. My main area is working with the “ creepers”, those between eight months old and upwards of sixteen months. However, I occasionally work anywhere from our infant room up to our preschool class, prepping those little minds that are soon to enter kindergarten. I truly love working there along with my colleagues. My hours are 8:45-5:45., Monday through Friday. I am simply exploring what might be available with better days/hours with a caring family that would be as comfortable with me as I am with them. Thank you for your consideration.
