Hello everyone! My name is Caroline. I currently live in Birmingham, Alabama. I am looking to move when my lease ends in May. I am studying Neuroscience at The University of Alabama at Birmingham fully online. I plan to finish my degree in 2 years and hope to explore a new city as well as have a consistent job and support system for myself. I believe I can find this mutual support by working as your nanny! I work at a health food store as an herbalist and as a waitress by night. I have worked as a lifeguard, I am proficient in CPR for newborns and children as well as swimming. I have been performing and assisting with theatrical productions for over a decade. I have always been a very outgoing person and believe that expression of all types is crucial for development. I have seen and experienced first hand how important and life changing the arts are for people; I would be honored to blend my knowledge of theatre and psychology to become a drama therapist. I have taken many classes on developmental psychology as well as many neuroscience courses outlining childhood development. I am well read on the importance of secure attachment and creating a loving environment for children. My favorite books are currently all about love by bell hooks and The Body Keeps Score Dr. van der Kolk. I also engage in plenty of physical activities, my favorite hobbies include skateboarding, hammocking, yoga, meditating, knitting, journaling, and thrifting! By the end of my life my biggest goal is to have used every bit of talent I have been blessed with and to have used those talents to enrich as many lives as possible.
