Hi! My name is Katie. I'm 28, and I just moved back to Prattville (my home town). I am a nanny searching for a full-time position with a special family. I have been a full-time nanny for several families over the past 7 years. I am currently looking for full-time (35-45 hours a week) and long-term work (at least 6 months- preferably 1 year or more). I am available to start immediately. I prefer a happy and welcoming home where respect and kindness and communication goes all the way around. I am a very warm and silly and sometimes-shy person. I am self-taught at piano and am engaged in many different creative avenues including painting, crafts, and the writing of teen/children's fiction. I am very dedicated, loving, intelligent, creative, and responsible. A brief overview of the past 7 years: Nashville August 2014 - August 2015 6 months of part-time work Read more as a nanny for several families 6 months as a full-time nanny for the Griffins for 1 child, age 18 months. Boston Sept 2011 - August 2014 3 years working for the Seidel family for children ages (then) 8 weeks & 7 years +3 months as a temporary live-in for 4 children ages 7,8,10, and 13 years Montgomery January 2010 - September 2011 2 years working for the Lowder/Wootten family for 2 children (cousins) ages 3 weeks and 4 months For many years prior to this I worked in childcare as a part-time nanny, summer nanny, pre-school teacher (ages 1-4), overnight camp counselor (ages 6- 68), and Sunday nursery caregiver while obtaining my Bachelors degree (completed in 2009) in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology. (I chose not to get a Masters for various reasons, but included in the degree are many early childhood language and development classes.) I am also CPR/First Aid certified (Adult and Pediatric/Infant). I have a long list of great references who are ready and willing to chat, should you give them a call.
