I have been babysitting since I was a young teenager. One of my first babysitting experiences was assisting a mother with her two premature twin daughters while her husband was on a Guard Duty. I have since babysat for several families from the time their oldest child was an infant until they had 3-4 children in the family, in addition to many other families for more short-term care. Additionally, I have worked in church childcare, substitute teaching, and as a teacher for students in grades K-12. I have been working as a teacher locally since October 2011. While I enjoy teaching and find seeing students learn very fulfilling, I am looking at transitioning to a nanny position (or a combination of nanny positions) for better work-life balance since I now have children at home. I am regular trained in parenting strategies as well as CPR and water safety courses through my role as a foster parent. I am also open to occasional babysitting.
