Hey there! I love spending time with children and help making them be the best they can be! I have a lot of experience when it comes to watching kids. Growing up, I worked in my church daycare which lead to outside jobs, meaning the parents loved the connection I made with their children that they welcomed me into their homes for the occasional date night or just a kid free night! My first job was a nanny job when I was 16. My duties were to pick the kids up from school, take them and pick up from after school activities and sometimes making dinner if their mom was going to be out later than usual. I was with these kids Monday through Friday for almost a year. During the summer my duties were to get there early in the morning before their mom left for work. I would Read more stay until she would come home. Some days we would go to the pool, the library, the park or just have some of their little girl friends come over and hang out or have a sleepover. I have always been my families care taker. Meaning, all of the children in my family, I was the designated babysitter. I feel like I have raised so many kids even though their parents were very much involved, I was just there so much and was included so much in their upbringing that that is how I, and the kids I have taken care of, see it. I can be a friend but know boundaries and when a punishment (timeout, no electronics, no friends, e.t.c.). I do not believe in corporal punishment but if that is how you do things in your family, I respect it, as it was how I was raised, but I have never done such to children I have looked after. I can help a broad range of children. I helped out a lot in my youngest sisters raising and she had CAS, childhood apraxia of speech, which is a muscle memory disability, so I understand patience and understanding is key. One of the girls I watched over from my babysitting job when I was 16, had dyslexia which we worked on daily even in the summer. Like I said, I love children and want the best for every single one of them that come into my life.
