As the second oldest of 8 siblings, I was raised helping to take care of kids. Therefore caring for young children is a skill that has been built into my personality on a fundamental level. As the mother of my own toddler, I have an ongoing, real-life interest in childhood developmental stages. Parenthood is the best, most challenging, and most profoundly personal way to gain the specific experience and perspective that is essential to caring for and understanding children. I can remember being in childcare during my own childhood. Some of those experiences were positive, and some were anxiety inducing for me, as I was very shy as a child. Because those experiences left such a lasting impression on me, I certainly do realize the importance of quality childcare. It matters to me because it matters to them. In addition to my background helping with my younger siblings at home Read more as well as my own parental experience that I've gained since my son was born, I was also appointed by the Department of Child Safety as a safety monitor over a family member's visitation blocks with their children. I did this every week for months, picking up the children from daycare in my car, transporting them to the designated visitation location (usually the family member's home), monitoring the visitation and assisting with supervision of the children, participation in healthy and fun activities, and then transporting the children back to daycare at the end of the visit. I received no compensation for doing this, and I never missed a single visit. I am an honest person with good moral character. I have no criminal history. I graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 2011. After graduation, I worked at Panda Express until I had a sizeable enough savings, and then I spent some time in Europe. After returning to the United States, I enrolled at Central Arizona College, planning to earn my degree so that I could teach English as a Second Language to Turkish elementary school students, however I did not continue to pursue this. I have taken a temporary break from working in order to care for my son, however now that he is a little older I feel comfortable getting back into the workforce. I'm available Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 6 PM, and I have my own reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and clean driving record, all of which is verifiable upon request.
