Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile! I am a 23 year old married woman with a lot of experience in the childcare world. I am told time after time by families that I am the best nanny/babysitter they've ever had! I am a warm, loving individual who believes children should be surrounded by positive guidance, nurturing, and interactions. A little bit of background. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old after taking the Red Cross babysitting course. That same year I started volunteering at my church's nursery every Sunday. By the time I was 16, I was in a paid Nursery Supervisor position and a full-time nanny for premature twins (I was with this family for four years!). That summer I was also a camp counselor at a Christian camp in California and during my senior year of high school, I was a Read more student teacher at an outdoor education laboratory school at Mount Evans. Then, while I was earning my bachelor's degree in Colorado, I was a nanny for many families and discovered my huge passion for teaching. I love how I can incorporate age appropriate activities into my nanny work and start introducing reading at a very early age as it helps development at any age! I have worked for three sets of twins (ages 0-8) and several large families (4-6 kiddos), but my favorite age group is from 0-6 months old. I have worked the longest with this group and know how to soothe, nurture, and engage very young infants. I am a huge believer in baby wearing, paced feeding, and the 5 S's and am constantly reading the newest techniques and studies to ensure that I am providing the best care possible. I am very respectful of the parents' needs, requests, and schedules and will always give a full report of the day. I am happy to provide excellent references upon request! Thank you again!
