Hi, my name is Liz! I'm 18 years old and a first year student studying graphic design at Arizona State University's Tempe campus. I'm also in their honors college. My mom works as a pediatric healthcare provider, so I think that's where I've accumulated a bit of knowledge in the area, despite healthcare not being my field of study. I was raised with two younger sisters, all of us being 2 years apart. I would describe myself as nurturing and compassionate as I enjoy being around younger children. Prior to the surge of COVID-19 cases in 2020, I occasionally took care of my younger cousin from when she was a toddler to around 5 years old. So alongside my sisters, I have experience looking after a wide variety of ages. We also have two cats and one dog at home, so I am pretty adept with animals. I even volunteered Read more at an animal shelter (Arizona Humane Society) for a couple of years. So, I would say that being a provider is something that I find fulfillment in. From previous experience, I would say that I'm good at effectively communicating with younger children. I'm very mindful of the way I listen, speak, and respond to them and I try to make them feel heard and seen. It's important to let them express themselves, whether it be through storytelling or art. I like doing activities with them such as making art, watching movies, playing video games, playing w/ legos/dolls/toys, etc. As a plus, I also know how to cook and bake. And I am also open to homework tutoring in all subjects.
