Hello! My name is Alixandra Swan, I have over a year of professional experience as a nanny and private tutor. I worked with two young boys ages 5 and 8, one of which was special needs while the other had "behavioral issues". I worked full time as a nanny and home school teacher and was only let go because they decided the children needed more social interaction and sent them back to in-person learning. They referred me to the second family I worked for. This job was homeschooling a kindergartener and a first-grader, both girls. I did a Montessori-based program with them and we went on many field trips. Eventually, summer came and they left for Montana for the two-month break and started attending a private catholic school upon return. I deeply cherished my time with each of these children and am passionate about impacting children's lives in a positive Read more way. I currently attend GCU to get a bachelor's in Science of Psychology. I was previously in school for elementary education and special education but decided to change my major so that I can go on to get my master's or doctorates in something regarding children's psychology and development. I would also like to not some personal experience. I am the oldest girl out of 5 siblings and grew up helping my mom with the babies for many years. I watched my youngest sister, who is 3, for 35 hours a week from the time she was 6 months to 1.5 years old.
