Hello, my name is Belina (Bay-lee-nuh)! I’m originally from South Dakota but I’ve loved how much being in Arizona has changed my life and has brought me so many blessings and amazing opportunities. I’m a senior at Grand Canyon University, majoring in forensic psychology with 1 semester left after the spring of 2024! I have 7 years of childcare experience working with all different ages groups doing: swim lessons, after school programs, nannying, babysitting, and preschools. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified as well. Currently, I work as an RBT at an early intervention clinic implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Monday-Friday during the day. Additionally being in university, and the best part of being a student is the upcoming student loans, so additional sources of income would help with gaining financial independence and stability. Finances is not the only motivating factor in Read more trying to find childcare opportunities outside of my current job, being productive and doing something fulfilling in my free time is important for me outside of hobbies and self care. I’ve tried other jobs in university, but I always come back to working with children. The relationships and bonds I’ve made with families and their children have meant so much to me. Working with children in different environments and contexts has taught me so much like patience, hard work ethic, how to work under stressful circumstances, problem solving, active listening, and how to find the unconditional love and positivity no matter the circumstances.
