I have worked for UHNW families in: UK/ Europe/ Russia and USA for the past 10 years as a Governess/ Nanny and a Home school teacher. I have also worked as a Kindergarten teacher in a private school in Romania. Where on an inspection of teaching in the school I received a grading of excellent. I am a British citizen ( with EAD- work permit) who is privately educated. I hold three university degrees: a BA in Philosophy, an MSc in International development (for which I received an academic scholarship) and a Postgraduate certificate in Education. My prior experience of working as a Kindergarten teacher and a home school teacher (alongside my Postgraduate certificate in Education) has enabled me to gain a secure and solid understanding of children’s development. As a home school teacher, I work on finding fun creative ways to inspire and teach English and to develop the Read more children’s skills in Math, Science and the world around them. My responsibilities have primarily centered on preparing short lessons and activities in all key subject areas as well as more general indoor and outdoor arts and crafts, role-play and sports activities. In all of my roles, I have also been responsible for general supervision of the children including waking them up, putting them to bed, organizing their wardrobes, as well as reinforcing good manners. I find it hugely rewarding to teach and nurture young children. I work to support the children’s learning through encouragement and praise and find strategies to promote good behavior. I am able to motivate children to take a delight in becoming confident learners and can assess levels of understanding in all key areas. I adapt my teaching to successfully facilitate learning. I differentiate by ability and interest in order to personalize my teaching. I aim to create a warm, stimulating learning environment in which children thrive, fulfill their potential and develop independence. For complete transparency - I am an experienced private educator. I am very happy and willing to take on child related PA duties, basic nanny duties ( as listed above) and tidy up after the children. However please note I do not cook, do housekeeping duties or laundry as my focus is education and the general well being of the children. I am currently searching for either a full time role M-F or a rota position. I am happy to travel to other states for a rota post.I hold a UK drivers licence and will take my USA driving test.
