Hello! I'm Alexya, but my friends and family call me Lexy. I am 22 years old and currently attending college to get my degree in ECE/art education. As the majority of my school is online, my availability is pretty flexible! I am one of the older (more available) cousins, so I have had a ton of experience with children of all ages. As for my professional experience, I have been babysitting since I was about 13 for various families, typically working with ages 0-8. I prefer to work consistently with my families because it allows for a better connection to be made between me, you, and your little one. :) I’ve personally nannied for two families in the last 2 years; (girl 3, boy 9) for about a year and a half, and more recently a little boy (age: 15 months) for about 6 months. I am happy to help Read more with whatever is thrown my way! Helping to maintain the home doing light housekeeping, children’s laundry, running errands, and things of that sort! I have been exposed to all different types of circumstances and work very quickly to adapt. I am comfortable handling little ones and have experience changing diapers, potty training, bottle feeding, introducing to solid foods, nap time, bathing, soothing and calming techniques, assisting with teething, etc. ! I enjoy finding new age appropriate activities to introduce to the kiddos I work with. I am more than happy to come prepared with tons of activities planned for your little one, inside and outside the house! I try my hardest not to rely on screen time as a primary form of entertainment, I want to keep your little one entertained and smiling doing all sorts of new things! There is so much that goes into childcare- especially infant care and it can be a bit difficult to breakdown all the little details of my past experiences. But I am very confident in my abilities to provide excellent, reliable, and enriching care to your little one! I have my Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification (renewed January 11th of this year) I am happy to provide you with my driving record and all necessary information regarding my car. I am comfortable driving with children in either my car or yours, depending on whatever you’re more comfortable with! Most of all, I would love to be a helpful addition to your family whenever I am needed!
