My name is Ellie, and I'm currently completing my senior year at the University of Texas at Austin. My journey with childcare began when I was 17 years old. Initially, I started babysitting for a family with twin girls, one of whom has cerebral palsy, which taught me a great deal about specialized care and the importance of patience and understanding in managing unique challenges. Throughout my time in Austin, I've worked with multiple families, caring for children of various ages. This experience has not only honed my ability to adapt to different family environments and needs but also deepened my commitment to providing supportive and nurturing care. Additionally, I grew up in a family with five younger sisters, two of whom are significantly younger than me. This environment helped me learn from a young age how to care for infants and toddlers effectively, managing everything from feeding schedules to Read more nap times and engaging play. While I do not currently hold formal certifications in childcare, my practical experience has equipped me with strong skills in creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children. I am always eager to learn and improve my skills, including pursuing first aid and CPR certifications if required. My experience extends to managing household tasks related to childcare, such as meal preparation and light cleaning, ensuring a well-organized and conducive living space for children. I'm also comfortable around pets, having both a cat and experience in homes with large dogs and other animals. Overall, my background in babysitting and personal family experience has prepared me well to be a reliable, caring, and attentive nanny. I'm passionate about contributing positively to the developmental journey of the children I care for.
