I’m a 52 yr old mother with 2 wonderful children my son is 24, and my daughter is 21, and my husband and I have been married for 24 yrs. Like every other little girl I started babysitting for neighbors, and my church family. I really enjoyed it so I decided to take the Blue Cross/Blue Shield baby-sitting course. While I was in high school I worked for daycare centers. After graduation I went back to school to get my nurses licenses. I worked with geriatrics patients.(elderly) and was going to school to be a nurse, plans changed and I got married and moved to Germany (Army) and started having children of my own I then started my in-home child care of 24 years. I have been a Nanny for one of the little girls from my daycare for 6 years 😥 long story short she is extremely sick in Children's Hospital. I'm reopening a very small nanny like in home childcare with no more than 3/4 younger kids/babies that way they recieve more 1 on 1 time with the interaction of a few other babies. I will be available for drop-in, part-time care and possibly more. I will play with play-doh, color, draw with sidewalk chalk, ABC's, 123's, and read age appropriate books. Naps will be scheduled. Naps aren't required, but quiet time is. I will try to get to the park in the spring/fall. We'll have water activities during the summer to stay cool. All the fun stuff I do with the children is great, but the most important thing I can tell you is I'm a mother, and I know what it means to love a child, and to want them to always be safe, and feel loved. My name is Julieta . I’m originally from Mexico and I lived in phoenix for the last five years. I’m pretty much the middle child so growing up I looked over my three younger siblings. I work for the company named Arion care solutions which required me to Obtain my CPR and AED certification for all ages. One of my first jobs was taking care of my teachers two grandsons who were special needs. They were around the ages of five and seven at the time and I had to play developmental games with them and help them with their reading skills as well as personal hygiene reminders. I am very family oriented so naturally when my older sister had her daughter I would be the go to sitter. I know younger children want to explore and have a ton of energy so I would make it a priority to play with them and try to make it as much of a learning experience as possible. Sherri was with us, and took exceptional care of our firstborn son from May - October 2022. When we began exploring options for in home care for our son I became very concerned at the lack of responsible candidates in this field. Sherri however was a breath of fresh air even prior to day one. She was professional, responsive, polite, friendly & genuine. Sherri interacted so gently, energetically and honestly with our son and she was an instant hit with him. Soon after Sherri started working with our family our son would light up with excitement and reach for her when she came in, in the mornings. It gave us invaluable peace of mind that our baby was connecting so well with his caregiver. Originally, we hired Sherri with the understanding that we would only need her services for four months. I planned to return to my job for only one trime FROM THE DESK OF The Smith Family ster after maternity leave to tie up some loose ends. However, Sherri made things easier than expected for our family so I was able to extend my employment through the end of the year. We are now only parting ways as I plan to close out the remainder of the year with accrued vacation time and PTO and will now be able to stay home with our family. During her time with us Sherri went above and beyond for our family. She cleaned our home and did laundry when our sons naps permitted. She stayed later when needed. She even brought him books and toys that she knew would help with advancing his development. Our family felt like we truly lucked out to have Sherri take care of our son. Moreover, we felt like she became a part of our family in a short while. Someone is going to luck out to have Sherri oversee their children.
