I have had a passion for young children since I was in elementary school. I began babysitting cousins and family friends in the 5th grade. I also volunteered in the toddler room at my church. As I grew up I would volunteer for different events or activities where I could be in a caregiving position. When I was in the military, I joined the Big Sister program at the elementary school on base. I had a 9 year old little sister and absolutely loved it! I moved to Sacramento after the military and got a job as a teacher's aide at a childhood development center. I then worked my way up as a substitute teacher and finally to the teacher of the 4 year old classroom. It was the first time I absolutely loved the job I had and looked forward to working everyday. It was so rewarding to see Read more the different things I was able to teach the children and I adored building relationships with them. Through that job I began babysitting weekly for a family that their 4 year old son was in my class. The family had an 8 year old girl, 4 year old boy and 7 month old baby girl. The family did offer for me to be their live in nanny, but I already had plans to move to Arizona. I am currently a teacher at Bridge's Preschool in Gilbert, where I have the 2 and 3 year old classroom along with a co-teacher. I enjoy teaching, but I am seeking a stable full time position that I am not receiving through the school. I also am completing my AA in Early Childhood Education through an online school called Penn Foster. I am in my last semester and expecting to finish by November or December this year. I am also CPR certified for adults and pediatrics. My heart and passion has always been with young children and I would love the opportunity to work with your family!
