Hello and welcome! I am an educator with over ten years of paid experience teaching children of all ages, abilities and personalities. I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and I am certified to teach preschool to third grade. My work has taken place in the home, in the classroom, and in a recreational setting. I am looking forward to transitioning to the private sector of employment. My teaching style is heavily influenced by the practices in Reggio Emilia, Italy. I believe in play-based, exploratory learning where the child's interests are the guiding force. Children and infants learn at their own, unique pace through real-life experiences. My responsibility, as a caretaker and educator, is to facilitate these learning moments in safe ways. It's a bonus if lessons of nature and social justice can be included. If I have the chance to listen to children and hold their words with value, I am fulfilled.
