Meet Zeleya

Hello all! My names is Zeleya, but everyone calls me Zee! I was born and raised here in Tucson, I went to CDO high school, and was a student athlete my whole life. I then played college volleyball for 2 years in Prescott, Arizona, and received my Associate of Arts, with a focus in psychology. With Covid turning everyone’s world upside down, I came back home and started to work everyday. So here I am! No, I don’t have a ton of paid experience, but I’ve spent quite a few years working with children of all ages. My dad raised my brother and I for 10 years, and he is 6 years younger, so I spent A LOT of time feeding the both of us, helping him do homework, and overall caring for him when my dad was busy working. As I got older, I coached volleyball for young girls, Read more ranging in ages 5-14, in various camps, tournaments, and other events. I was also a camp counselor in the Summers over 2017 and 2018, where I looked over a group of 13 girls who were aged 6-10. Here I had a little bit more responsibility. I spent all day with this group, helping them participate in different sports, taking them to lunch, engaging in different games and activities during free time, reading activities, arts and crafts, and just ways to keep them active and moving through Summer break. I am really interested in becoming a preschool teacher, and think becoming a nanny/sitter will be a great first step. I’m extremely laid back, flexible, and genuinely passionate about helping children grow. I love to have fun, while also ensuring safety, learning, and a healthy environment. I want to help your children expand their minds and personalities!
