After living abroad in the UK for the past 7 years, I recently returned home and am looking for part-time work as a babysitter through the summer. I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations and a masters degree in Security Studies -- Political Violence and Terrorism. I have my own car (Jeep Grand Cherokee) and a clean driving record - I have never even received a parking ticket. I grew up with an au pair from 6 months until I was 8 years old - we have an unshakable bond until this day. During high school, I babysat for my neighbors and family friends. For three years, I was a volleyball coach at the local middle school, an Outdoor Education camp counselor and founded an after school mentoring program for nearby school children aged 5-13 in Menlo Park. A little about me: I have traveled all over the world from a young age: my dad is from Scotland and moved to China when I was 14, thus splitting my time between America and China during my high school years. From 2016-2017, I spent a year traveling throughout the world, from New Zealand & Australia to Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, the Philippines, to name a few. Moving to the UK in 2012 allowed me to extensively travel around Europe as well. I am a low-key adrenaline junkie - I love skydiving, bungee jumping and paragliding. In addition to seeking out new adventures, I love to read, run, cook and scuba dive any chance I can. During the winter, I love to ski and spend as much time in the mountains. I have a passion for nutrition and wellness, and make sustainable and ethical living a priority. I'm smart, energetic, compassionate and have a flexible schedule that can accommodate your family.
