I am a graduate of UC Irvine with a Bachelors in theater. I have 6 years experience working with children of all ages, and all backgrounds. For three of those years I worked at a residential Outdoor Science school where I worked with 5th and 6th grade students teaching them both science and life skills. For those summers I traveled to rural parts of Alaska working with native children ages 5&up where I specialized in teaching them swimming, cold water safety, nutrition, nature, theater and games. I spent one year working in LA at an after school program teaching elementary kids art, theater, cooking, and sports. For the past year I have been employed as a full time substitute teacher where I have gained knowledge of the current California education standards. Throughout these years I have gained a wide array of knowledge about working with children who have mental and Read more physical special needs, diabetes, allergies, asthma, AFS, victims of abuse, ADD/ADHD and much more. I am currently Lifeguard and CPR certified and have a certificate in Youth Mental Health First Aid. I enjoy teaching children how to be respectful, resourceful youth and I love to inspire creativity and explore the outdoors. Reading and singing to children is also a passion of mine.
