Hello there! My name is Kayla, and I use she/her pronouns. I am here to aid families of all kinds to find ease in their routines by having an extra set of hands to help. I graduated with a degree in biochemistry from Mills College on a full scholarship. I am working as a part-time community health worker while preparing to attend Medical school in the Fall of 2024. I am looking to be educated overseas in a Spanish-speaking country where I will learn about medicine in Spanish. I plan to become a specialist in OBGYN health. Previously, I taught at bilingual schools with the after-school science program Sarah Science, held several babysitting/nanny gigs throughout college, and tutored children at Light House Community Charter. As a person with ADHD, I have learned to utilize many different study methods to maximize my study time and balance self-care. I hope to share Read more these skills with families such that their little ones can benefit from them as well — rather your child/children is/are neurodivergent or not. I believe learning is a journey in which we work towards goals while having a growth mindset about the progress we can make in developing our individual strengths in particular subjects. Therefore the experience of learning should be met with patience and persistence. I am strong in a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to any mathematics courses up to linear algebra (college level), AP lang, AP world history, microbiology, genetics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, etc. My goal is to be the help that you need and want. I am not here to assert personal beliefs or practices as I help your family. However, if there are conversations you would like help broaching, I am confident in sharing resources. I am the best person for your needs if you want quality services. I want to do things as professionally as possible such that your family and I can have the best takeaway from the experience. This includes timelines, clear communication, appropriate dress, cleanliness, top-tier safety, and extraordinary, creative, and mind-strengthening experiences for your children. Languages : English 1st language Spanish Moderate ASL Beginner Other working experiences I have/had : - full spectrum doula - gynecological teacher associate - bilingual science educator - tutor - certified yoga instructor

We’ve worked with Kayla twice now and have had a great experience both times. Our 7.5 year old son requires extra patience and support and Kayla has stepped into that with curiosity, skill and creativity. She has been timely, communicative and conscientious about the different needs and preferences that each family and child may need. We look forward to having her spend time with our son again soon!
