I am a 34 year old woman and I have been taking care of children since my oldest nephew was born. I immediately fell in love with it. I have a gentle nature with kids, and specialize in caring for toddlers and infants. I have taken some child development classes and would love to get back into school for it eventually. Admittedly, I can be a bit awkward and shy at times, but kids definitely bring out my bubbly side. I love to introduce toddlers to various arts and crafts, interactive play, confidence building games, and I love to find creative ways to help them learn about the world we live in. I’m always open to new ideas on ways to best interact and communicate with children, and I admire the approach that Janet Landsbury takes. I do not have children of my own and I feel that this enables Read more me to focus my energies on the families I work with in a more meaningful way. I am willing to work with families who have up to three children depending on their ages, however I love being able to engage one-on-one with the children. In my experience, a child can gain so much from having direct engagement with the adults who care for them. I strive to make each day, each interaction, meaningful and fulfilling. I love pets of all sorts, from the furry critters to the creepy crawlers, and am happy to help with pet care as well as child care. I also am willing to do basic household chores such as dishes, laundry, and cooking simple meals for the children.
