Hi! I’m Avery McNeely, i’m currently working as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove and have been working there for 1 Year and 7 months. At this program I have completed child and adult CPR/AED/First Aid training and been certified, as well as attended TK/K safety and behavior workshops and behavioral support technique workshops. I have worked with ages 3-13 (with the most time spent teaching 3-5 year olds) running classes as large as 25 students on my own, so I am very comfortable watching multiple children at a time. I also love to create lasting memories and bonds with the kids I teach and babysit, so I have lots of activities for us to do and games we could play as a large part of my job is planning multiple daily art, educational, and sports activities. I also feel very comfortable teaching Read more any extra curriculum you would like them to practice, and of course help with any homework they need to complete, as that is a large part of my job as a YDP as well. I believe that feeding, providing entertainment/activities, and cleaning up after kids is a basic part of what you pay for when you pay for babysitting, but I also don’t mind doing some light organizing/housekeeping, laundry, or meal prep for the week upon request/discussion (I will never touch or clean anything without permission). I also have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record if you also need help with picking up kids from school. I am punctual, reliable, and very communicative with parents because I know how important it is that your children are in the care of someone you can trust. As far as my personal interests, I love to sing, dance, and act (I went to an arts high-school for musical theatre), I also love to write and read, do SFX makeup, draw and paint, do digital art, fashion design, and roller skate. Working with kids is my passion and not only do I currently do it for work but I also go to college for psychology and child development, and i’m working toward becoming a child psychologist. Lastly, working with family’s on the day to day, I know how different family situations can look and how hard and expensive it can be to get child care sometimes so I am willing to negotiate on my pricing if you can’t make my min price work.
