Hello! My name is Elena and I am currently a junior studying Criminal Justice at Washington State University. When I'm not in Washington I live in Carlsbad, which is about 20 minutes north of San Diego. I come from a family of four, including my parents, my older sister, myself and a dog. I have been working around and with children ages 4-12 for the past 6 to 6 and a half years. When I worked with kids for the first time I was in my sophomore year of high school. I would volunteer at my local YMCA and would help teach dance and cheer classes to kids ages 4-8. I was able to gain more experience when I started babysitting two brothers who lived across the street from me. Along with that I had the opportunity to work at Legoland California for over a year before I had to Read more leave for college. Since coming to WSU I have been able to work at my local YMCA when I go home for breaks/summer, etc., and have been able to do this for the past year and a half. I am also trained in First Aid and CPR certified.
