Supervisor/Direct Care/Behavioral Specialist. *8 years as a P/T Direct Support Professional for a private residence with 1 1/2 years of rehabilitation/speech for a 2 different young men injured in automobile accidents. *8 years as a P/T/and currently as a sub contractor Community Integration Specialist. In 2011 I retired to take care of my then soon to be grandson who was born with Hypohdrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia. He lived with me and I was his F/T care-provider for 6 1/2 years, also home schooled him pre-k though kindergarten. Last summer he moved away and I have found I have a lot of free time. So in October I started working again and was employed as a P/T nanny for a 4-year-old boy that I had care for occasionally since birth, but in December his grandmother was lucky enough to move closer and now takes care of him. I have also been studying to become a jazz singer for two years. I absolutely love dancing, painting, drawing, and creating crafts. I also love cooking; I have learned a lot from my mom. Since I was 12, I have been deeply immersed in a traditional musical genre from my hometown, and I continue to grow my knowledge in that style. I consider myself a nature lover, and I am passionate about teaching kids the importance of caring for the environment. I have and I feel that I connect easily with children. I also have a lot of patience, which I have found is the key to all of this work that I love, and I have been driving since I was 14 years old.
