I grew up in a christian household so my whole life I have been around children and babysitting. As I got older, I got this passion for taking care of the youth and began babysitting and working in the nursery at my church. Over the years, I became more familiar with families around the church and I took on an internship in high school for the youth ministry. I was in charge of leading bible study every sunday, tuesday, and wednesday working with children ranging from ages 5-17; participated in skits for sunday services; brainstormed ideas for new outreach events with lead pastor for children and middle schoolers. Outside of church, I had babysat for other families since the beginning of high school. These jobs put me in charge of picking up kids from school, taking them home, helping them with homework, teaching them to read music, taking them to Read more practices, light cleaning around the house, and spending the night. Another passion of mine is tutoring. I have tutored students in English and Math; made practice tests and practice problems weekly to help student become familiar in material; worked mostly on spelling and grammar with 3rd-6th graders; helped students with math in the following: fractions, multiplication and division, algebra, and college statistics. I love the idea of helping the younger generation and I put so much energy into them because they are our future and must be cared for. Children are future CEOs, Presidents, Doctors, etc. and should be nurtured from the day they’re born until they well into adulthood. I am a huge advocate for healthy living, being outdoors, using the creative side of the brain, and having so much fun!
