Child care and education is my biggest passion. When I’m watching your child I will not only make sure that they are happy and healthy, but I will also help them improve as individuals, both academically and socially. During family events I end up at the kids table not because I have to be there, but because it’s where I want to be. I love listening to their curious minds and helping them actualize their desires (whether that be building a crazy fort, baking a dessert, or any other activity that takes patience and some sort of adult guidance) I grew up working in a daycare and learning from professionals since the age of 12. Since then I have worked with children of all ages, but I’m especially talented and enthusiastic when working with infants and toddlers. My volunteer work includes, but is not limited to: assisting in kindergarten and Read more preschool classrooms, working with special needs elementary school students, teaching grades 4-6 poetry and research methods, and much more. I’d love to share with you my many other experiences. I minored in childhood development and education at UCSB and have continued my reading since I graduated. I have a very thorough understanding of child psychology and I use this knowledge to better connect with and understand the children I work with. Additionally, I am young, healthy, creative, and full of energy. My patience is unmatched; I love the process of discovering, exploring, and learning new things with children. I know how to cook healthy meals, I can play almost any sport, I love arts & crafts, and am great at cleaning and other household chores. An important note, if you need me to transport your child, is that I had lots of practice driving children around when I worked for mobile summer camp for 2 years. I’ve learned how to deal with the distractions of 6 elementary age children in my van at a time while still driving very safe. Overall, It excites me when the children I work with learn a new word, accomplish a new goal, or are just having a great time. I will care for your child with the utmost competence and am confident you won’t find anyone else like me. I would love to send you my resume and set up a time to chat so you can get to know me :)
