Hi! I'm Cassy, a Human Development and Linguistics student graduating from UC San Diego in June. I have 7 years of experience working with children in various settings and I am passionate about healthy and research-based child development practices. Since I was 14, I have been working as a gymnastics teacher for children starting at Parent and Me all the way to 14 years old. I have also volunteered as a tutor in elementary schools, and trained and volunteered in several preschool, transitional kindergarten, and early childhood caretakers. I have also worked in summer camps and in classrooms with kids with learning and behavioral disabilities like ASD, ADHD, and others. I am looking for families that need help with school/activity pick-ups or just an occasional babysitter. I have been babysitting in the San Diego for the past few years, and I always emphasize safety and kindness when caring for children Read more of any age and in any environment! Starting next school year, I will be working as a transitional kindergarten teacher. Summary: - Current UCSD Human Development and Linguistics Student - Experience with kids ages 1-14, primarily preschool and kinder ages - Very passionate about positive child development and gentle, Montessori/play-based childcare - Experience with kids with ASD and ADHD, especially preschool/early elementary ages.
