I am a healthy, single 52 year old lady. I am also a single Mom of a 26 year old that has "left the nest". I really enjoy kids of all ages. I am an awesome cook who is also not afraid to do any housework. I have a dependable SUV with a clean driving record. I have never been arrested for anything. I am trustworthy, dependable and easy going and have been told funny! I love to play games (board, cards,WII, pokeymon) I can make their own play dough for them, read and go for walks or the playground. I also will help with homework. I will also play dress up and hide and seek to their hearts content! I love pets as well, and can also take care of your furry friends if have me as their care giver for their loved ones. I grew up in a very large Read more Irish Catholic family with 52 cousins, so I have always been around lots of kids, and have babysat since the 8th grade. For the past year I moved back to Illinois to care for my Dad who has Alzheimer's and my Mom who has MS . During my time there I Prepared all their meals, did the shopping and supervised my Dad's activities throughout the day. I was a Community Emergency Response Team member with the Wauconda Il Fire Department as well. We had ongoing first aid training which included CPR . I also am certified in wilderness Search and Rescue. If there are any emergencies while I am watching your children, I can be depended upon to be calm and cool and safe. I actually have led 4 kids out of the 20th floor of the Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas to safety after the 7.2 Hector Mine earthquake on 10-16-99. ( my son's 11th b day party) I lost a home to a fire on 10/2/01 after a neighbors gas heater blew up in Lake Forest. I made sure my son and a neighbor got out safely. My belief is that children will take the cue of the adults so I never ever let them see me panic!

Ellen was amazing! She took care of our boys in a loving and but stirct manner. I beleive Ellen has moved on and is persuing her other career at this time but she still deserves to be thanked and recognized for the wonderful job she did with our boys!

Ellen is fantastic. From the first moment we met my kids have loved her. In fact, the first time we met my daughter dragged her outside to play, and even though Ellen was nicely dressed she didn’t even hesitate. She isn’t the type of sitter that sticks your baby in their swing and plops your kids in front of the TV. She genuinely wants to hang out with your kids. I know when I leave my seven month old and my five year old with her they are in great hands. I highly recommend her.

Ellen has been watching my 5 and 9 year old boys for a little over a month now. She is awesome with them and always is prompt, professional, and does much more than what is required of her. I am blessed to have found someone as perfect as her on the mountain!!!!
