Hello hello! My name is Daisy. I have been working with children since I was a child myself and love everything about it. I started 'mothers helping' at a very young age which quickly turned into babysitting and now - full time nannying. I am originally from the east coast but have had a home base in north county San Diego for the past 9 years. Over the past two years I have done some traveling - hiking, climbing, surfing and nannying along the way. However after my latest visit home (February) I realized how much I really missed Encinitas - so I decided to stay! I love to keep busy with the kids I watch by - going to the beach, park, museum, playing games, crafting, scavenger hunts, building forts, reading/making our own fictional stories etc. I have always been responsible for keeping the laundry rolling when there is Read more down time as well as groceries/meals. I love to cook & worked at a National Geographic bed and breakfast for awhile as well as numerous other restaurants. So delicious *healthy - even if the kids don't know it* food is part of my deal as well. If of course you'd like that :) You will always come home to a house cleaner than you left it & a happy crew of kids! The last family I worked for long term in San Diego had five children. They were aged 7,5,3 and twin 2 month olds when I started. Although everyone was going in a separate direction I managed to keep the house at ease while exciting and entertaining the children. The twins always stayed on board with their nap/meal times - even when juggling the older three's separate schedules. I still keep in contact with this family although they are living in LA (we even continue to visit each other whenever possible!) - so if you would like a reference just let me know. I am currently working on the "Daisy Dictionary" (named by the kids) for them with a childhood story of mine for every letter in the alphabet. I am hoping to find a position here where I can play the older sister role & light up some little faces. I would love to find a family I could stay with long term as I plan to reset my roots in San Diego. I know this will be easier on you - the parents, children and I alike.
